Open lesbian?[edit]

Numerous reliable sources (The Advocate, the Spokesman-Review, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, and several others) are noting that Yu's appointment to the Washington Supreme Court makes her the first openly gay member of that court. However, I have been unable to find independent corroboration about her orientation, much less her family life. Any help in finding this information would be appreciated. Gov. Jay Inslee noted it in his appointment speech:

Which is likely where other reliable sources have gotten it. I'd rather like to find secondary sources along the lines of living with a partner or an interview with an LGBT magazine. BLP can be a bit tricksy, and I'd like to cover the bases. TechBear | Talk | Contributions 21:07, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
