Virginia V. Ahern or Mary V. Ahern?[edit]

I noticed when doing a search for her, that her full name was Mary Virginia Ahern, also known as Mary V. Ahern. Are you sure that you have the name right? Editrite! (talk) 22:35, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! You are correct, I have corrected the text. How can the title be corrected? _ _ _ _ 83d40m (talk) 09:03, 11 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

successful move of Virginia V. Ahern to this article[edit]

Stumbling through a mistaken attempt that resulted in the creation of Mary V. Ahern (broadcast producer) in a second error -- this article with simply (producer) is the final destination for the correction. My apologies for the two errors of title, I never had learned how to move in order to correct an error in title! Will note all of this at the incorrect article also because the one with (broadcast producer) should be deleted. _ _ _ _ 83d40m (talk) 15:59, 11 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have inserted notes at the two articles affected by my mistakes: Stumbling through a mistaken attempt that resulted in the creation of the article, Mary V. Ahern (broadcast producer), was a second error while attempting to correct a mistake in an article entitled Virginia V. Ahern because the name was incorrect. The article, Mary V. Ahern (broadcast producer), was created in the second mistake and used for a cut and paste attempt to make the correction of name.

The final correction resulted in this article, entitled Mary V. Ahern (producer), which should be the only correctly created article for this biography.

My apologies for the two errors of title. I never had learned how to move in order to correct an error in title! Will note all of this at the multiple articles. Lesson learned!

A notation at the directions about "moving to correct title" indicated that a bot would clean up this dreadful mess I made. Here's hoping that is correct, because the article, Mary V. Ahern (broadcast producer) was created incorrectly, is redundant, and should be deleted. and as Annie Oakley declared, "I'll never do it again!" _ _ _ _ 83d40m (talk) 16:32, 11 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

With the help of John B123, corrected defaultsort and used move again to return the page to a simple title, Mary V. Ahern. Asked for deletion of the initial incorrect article. Phew! _ _ _ _ 83d40m (talk) 18:13, 11 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Welcome @83d40m: to DYK. Sadly your nomination doesn't make the bar this time. Articles have to be new (a week old max) or to have been expanded by a factor of 5 in the last week. Mary's article has been around for a while. Your work and some changes I have made have improved it, but not be enough for DYK! But well done anyway!! The article now mentions the name of the museum she helped create. You can get more assistance from me/anyone at my/their talk page or try the Women in Red wikiproject. Thanks anyway Victuallers (talk) 07:48, 15 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
