M. Higham and Sons - capitalisation[edit]

Was it M. Higham and Sons (uppercase 'S') or M. Higham and sons (lowercase)? The article is not consistent. Mitch Ames (talk) 04:09, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know - I've seen it written in both ways. It could be that there was one son and then another came of age. Sorry not sure how to resolve without more research or a picture of some paperwork or shops. Thanks so much for your help. Victuallers (talk) 09:43, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A bit of searching turns up references to:

so I'd be inclined to use "Sons" (upper case, plural) consistently through our article, as that seems to be the most common - and have updated it accordingly. Mitch Ames (talk) 09:06, 7 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
