Anecdote[edit]

I don't think this fits in the article, but here goes:

Someone once asked John Barrymore what was the last play his father Maurice Barrymore appeared in. He called his sister and said "Ethel- what was the last thing Dad was in?" She replied "Mary Boland" Saxophobia (talk) 19:21, 7 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

you got it all wrong. It was Ethel who asked Jack what was the last thing 'Uncle Jack', meaning their uncle John Drew was in. John being the smart alec replied '...Mary Boland!'. Maurice died in 1905, he never appeared on stage with Mary Boland.Koplimek (talk) 23:37, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
