Template:Regions of Portugal: statistical (NUTS3) subregions and intercommunal entities are confused; they are not the same in all regions, and should be sublisted separately in each region: intermunicipal entities are sometimes larger and split by subregions (e.g. the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon has two subregions), some intercommunal entities are containing only parts of subregions. All subregions should be listed explicitly and not assume they are only intermunicipal entities (which accessorily are not statistic subdivisions but real administrative entities, so they should be listed below, probably using a smaller font: we can safely eliminate the subgrouping by type of intermunicipal entity from this box).

Ground fatality?[edit]

Where does the ground fatality come from? The only source that says it is this one [1], and it's not even that clear. All it says is "A rescue worker died shortly after the plane crash". Did they die during the rescue? If so, how?

Nothing else I could find makes any mention of the death of a rescue worker. Every other source puts the total fatality count at 56. Does anyone have an explanation for this discrepancy or confirmation of this death? LearyTheSquid (talk) 19:46, 25 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Update: According to this site [2], a 57th candle is used in the annual commemoration for an airport worker who helped in the rescue and died in a traffic accident a week later. Good to know, but because they weren't actually killed in the plane crash or during the rescue, I will remove the mentions of a ground fatality in this article.
