Unsourced controversial statement removed[edit]

I removed the following unsourced material from the 'Personal Life' section, due to concerns about violating WP:BLP. If you can find a reliable source, feel free to add it back to the article: "His first marriage to Michele Acton, a former director of Hong Kong Shanghai Investment Bank ended in divorce in 2006 subsequent to revelations of Field's adultery with Conservative Party candidate Elizabeth Truss." The relevant source is The Times, Tuesday October 27th 2009, p5, although I don't know how to reference that properly. The story may be online. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.25.106.209 (talk) 16:31, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Affair with Liz Truss[edit]

Should his BLP mention his affair with Liz Truss, which attracted a lot of attention and led to the divorce of his first marraige (he has since re-married).? 78.19.224.254 (talk) 01:35, 24 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The section on Elizabeth Truss needs to be expanded.[edit]

The section on Elizabeth Truss needs to be expanded. 88.97.108.45 (talk) 09:24, 24 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

There is no section, and I think it is odd that such a public event - there was lots of coverage - is not represented in his BLP? 78.19.224.254 (talk) 10:19, 24 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I believe references to the affair have been added and removed periodically. Interesting that the first of these was added by user:Philip Cross in 2010. Shtove (talk) 07:44, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have added a sentence on this. I don't think it should be over-elaborated, but it was a notable incident that received reasonable public coverage. 78.19.224.254 (talk) 13:20, 24 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
