Indeed, there is a problem here. She was born 1793, one year after the First French Republic was created, and Royal were stripped of their titles. Napoleonic Royal titles are only created from the proclamation of the Consulate/First Empire in 1804. Marie Antoinette Murat's uncle Joachim Murat is only made a Prince in 1805. Prior to this the family was untitled. Yet, according to this article, Marie Antoinette was Royal from birth, 12 years earlier. www.peerage.com, one of the 2 sources quoted for this article, states that she was only given the title 'Princess' in 1808, aged 15, whilst the other source http://www.angelfire.com/realm/gotha/gotha/hohenzollern.html only states that she was a Princess at the time of her marriage (i.e. 1808), but makes no reference for before that time. The name should be "Antoinette Murat", or maybe "Antoinette Marie Murat". Is there any reliable source for "Marie Antoinette Murat"? --AndreasPraefcke (talk) 01:17, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
