Self -promotion?[edit]

This entry reads like a CV and reads more as though written by the subject person themselves as a glowing self-promotion rather than a biography. Certainly the director of the Tate gallery could justify a page but perhaps there should be some balance with some critical viewpoints as Balshaw has some strong opinions, policies, drives and ambitions which are not to everyone's liking or tastes and there is considerable concern about the direction that Balshaw is driving the Art world in the UK. The following article is a good example of a considerable groundswell of opinion that Balshaw may not be the best person for such important posts in the UK Arts[1]. In the Wiki entry, looking at the exhibition list of all female artists for the Whitworth and the avant-garde artists exhibited by Manchester Art gallery and the Worldcat lists of her publications I would think there was room for citicism and balance[2].

There is no mention of Balshaw as a director on the Rothesay Pavillion website which lists the Board and Trustees[3].
