cenzorship?[edit]

Quote: Despite the early scandals of her marriage and eccentricities...which scandals? Have her lovers been censored away? This does not make sense if the scandals are not described.--85.226.42.172 (talk) 23:00, 11 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: No consensus. Not surprised by this outcome. What I'm going to do is create two new move requests following this discussion. One: Maria Amalia of AustriaMaria Amalia, Holy Roman Empress. Second: Archduchess Maria Amalia of AustriaMaria Amalia of Austria, Duchess of Parma. I'm thinking the first might SNOW, while the second might fail to reach consensus. Nonetheless, changing tack. User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 03:47, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

– These are two ambiguous titles and I have no idea why they are the way they are. They were both archduchesses. I have proposed dates as a simple and straightforward resolution, but since many Wikipedians do not like dates in titles I would propose as alternates Maria Amalia of Austria, Duchess of Parma and Maria Amalia (empress). Links should be fixed later, since the current titles should point to the dab page, Maria Amalia. Both people were Archduchess of Austria. Both fail WP:PRECISE. Both need further disambiguation. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 00:41, 28 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: Moved to "Maria Amalia, Duchess of Parma" (non-admin closure) Cwmhiraeth (talk) 11:03, 12 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Archduchess Maria Amalia of AustriaMaria Amalia of Austria, Duchess of Parma – In the recently no-consensus close for the move of this page, an alternative target of Maria Amalia of Austria, Duchess of Parma was proposed and met with some but limited support. This request initiates a new discussion related to this alternative move, in an attempt to reach consensus. User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 04:02, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • There was clearly consensus in the previous RM for a move (only one unexplained oppose from an unregistered user). Support. Just fix it. Srnec (talk) 05:02, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
    • No, there was not a clear consensus. --User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 01:08, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support as per consensus. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:52, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support use of "Duchess of Parma" as a disambiguator, though Maria Amalia, Duchess of Parma, is sufficient. DrKay (talk) 20:17, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Maria Amalia, Duchess of Parma. I was going to close this requested move with a move to the shorter suggestion, but then I thought that might be a bit of a supervote, so I'll comment instead. The married name is a much clearer disambiguator and the shorter suggestion is more concise and is also more consistent with Maria Amalia, Holy Roman Empress. Full disclosure: I've just moved that article! Celia Homeford (talk) 12:53, 11 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
