Shouldn't the book that disguises Marburg as Kronenburg "They Thought They were Free" and includes interviews of ten citizens of Marburg about the war years 1933 - 1945 be included? Here's a link to the author:

Marburg virus

Shouldn't the article have some info about the Marburg virus, which is similar to the Ebola virus? It seems that the first outbreak of that virus was in 1967 in Marburg, Germany. I think the section on the Marburg Virus can be improved. Here is the copy/text from the Marburg Virus Wiki article link: MVD was first documented in 1967, when 31 people became ill in the German towns of Marburg and Frankfurt am Main, and in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. The outbreak involved 25 primary MARV infections and seven deaths, and six nonlethal secondary cases. The outbreak was traced to infected grivets (species Chlorocebus aethiops) imported from an undisclosed location in Uganda and used in developing poliomyelitis vaccines. The monkeys were received by Behringwerke, a Marburg company founded by the first winner of the Nobel Prize in Medicine, Emil von Behring. The company, which at the time was owned by Hoechst, was originally set up to develop sera against tetanus and diphtheria. Primary infections occurred in Behringwerke laboratory staff while working with grivet tissues or tissue cultures without adequate personal protective equipment. Secondary cases involved two physicians, a nurse, a post-mortem attendant, and the wife of a veterinarian. All secondary cases had direct contact, usually involving blood, with a primary case. Both physicians became infected through accidental skin pricks when drawing blood from patients. A popular science account of this outbreak can be found in Laurie Garrett’s book The Coming Plague.

Green city

I would suggest to completely remove this paragraph. The law discussed there was stopped, and will most likely never take place. Despited this law Marburg is not especially greener then any other German city. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.9.139.94 (talk) 23:44, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

Does anyone else has some suggestions on deleting this section of the article. I still think, that labeling Marburg as an especially green city is misleading. Although I wish it would be true, however there are much more notable greener cities in Germany, i.e. Freiburg. WW II missing items (copied from german wiki)

Various events known to have occurred in Marburg-Cappel find no mention in the article concerning the Vergassung of the handicapped. Have I missed something here?

Because of the ease with which citations can be found in documents on the internet, it is surprising that there is no note on "T4" action in Marbug Bezirk during the war period. After all, in Marburg, if the victims were merely trucked or bussed to Hadamar, then that was all that happened and we can mention the date and whether there is a memorial. The Irrenanstalt employee interviewed by me had no problem remembering these events - his wife told me (in Cappel) that these events had troubled him until that time (1985)

The document clearly identifies that the space was now available at Marburg Irrenanstalt and was in use.

I see nothing on the decision not to rebuild the Synagogue - curious in that no other important building was lost in Marburg during the NS-zeit
