Edits--5/16/2012[edit]

I corrected the lack of citation on Keisling's role as the founding Executive Director of the National Center for Transgender Equality. I have also noticed that this article is a stub and will help to expand it using information found on the Center's official website. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Patriots649 (talkcontribs) 15:07, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dubious claims: Harvard[edit]

"In 2005, Harvard University named Keisling Outstanding LGBT Person of the Year." There is no proof of this claim. There is no mention of this anywhere on www.harvard.edu. "Mara Keisling" is only mentioned one time in a blog post, and it does not refer to her as being a graduate, alum or a person who had received an honor from Harvard. (Her birth name "Mark Keisling" turns up zero results on Harvard's website.) Sketchy. All of the bios, blogs and websites that describe her as a Harvard alum are simply using her as the source, not fact-checking.

Keisling's own company's website should not be used as a source. 12.180.133.18 (talk) 23:02, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Beginning major updates (07/21/2017)[edit]

As we can all see, this page is lacking in information and sources. I'm going through over the next week to write up a new draft of the page that accurately sources every claim and provides more detailed information on Mara. And hopefully that should bring it sufficiently up to date for at least a little while.
