Wrong Translation?[edit]

Sayonara no Asa ni Yakusoku no Hana o Kazarō, lit. 'Let's Hold the Promised Flowers in the Morning of Farewells My Japanese isnt that great, but inst this translation incorrect. kazarou means decorate. Obv this verb doesnt produce an english sentence that sounds as good as the above mentioned quote, but if you writte "lit." shouldnt it litteraly transalte the sentence. DeepL would produce this sentence: "Let's put the promised flowers on the morning of goodbye" which sounds strange in english but is the lit translation. the german article uses the translation that basically means the same as the DeepL translation which i would also deem as more correct: "Lasst uns am Morgen des Abschieds mit den versprochenen Blumen schmücken" which menas "Let us decorate with the promised flowers on the morning of our farewell" Hydraulik44 (talk) 13:15, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
