Editors note[edit]

Please note: as a student in the history of scientific instrumentation I believe this company to be of note. For the sake of transparency, I must state that I have had direct dealings with Malvern Instruments. However, I have made every move possible to ensure that any and all information used here is both written from a neutral point of view and is verified using publicly available third-party references and I do not believe my uploading this information infringes Wikipedia policy or represents a conflict of interest in any way. However, if you have any objections, please contact me and I will happily address them.

Although the awards section is just that - a statement of awards - it also represents a critical link between this company and the the Royal Signals Radar Establishment (RSRE). It is this partnership that produced the Correlator: an important scientific instrument. There is also a good possibility that, previous to the incorporation of Malvern Instruments itself this company was involved in the development of the radar with the Department of Defence. If anyone can corroborate or correct this, please let me know.

I hope that anyone with further information on the historical links will come forward so we can build a better record on Wikipedia of the development of particle sizing technologies, laser diffraction and the correlator. --SciHound (talk) 15:06, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
