I just removed some information that looked more like a note in the text which stated that the building was not a tavern. It had no source. I do. On page 4 of the National Register of Historic Places nomination form for the district the author (Michael Ward - working with the Illinois Department of Conservation's Tampico Long Range Planning Committee as the Assistant National Register Coordinator): "The first floor housed a tavern from 1896-1915 and a bakery from 1915-1919. It served as the home of First National Bank (1919-1931)." So I think that settles the issue, no more historical revisionism, mmm-kay. --IvoShandor (talk) 10:36, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
