Lyrics

They're not really lyrics, they're more like words being whispered in your ears (or Eddie's ears?). According to the Motherpage, the "lyrics" are:

Come on Maggot Brain

Go on Maggot Brain

But then, according to what people write in the article, to version a song in a concert shouldn´t consider that they cover the song, because if Frusciante creates a very seemed version of "Maggot Brain" introduced on his last disc, it won´t appear on this list. If Frusciante's song sounds like "Maggot Brain" but isn't called "Maggot Brain", and if nobody has written that it's a cover of "Maggot Brain", then it's just speculation to call it a cover of "Maggot Brain". — Malik Shabazz (talk · contribs) 19:13, 5 September 2009 (UTC)

citation needed for effects units?

Just a thought, but for something as aurally obvious as referencing the effects units the guitar is sent through is a citation really needed? Because anyone who has heard the song would know the claim to be correct. Orphaned references in Maggot Brain (song)

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Maggot Brain (song)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
