Reception[edit]

I'm thinking there must be quite a bit of critical reception out there for this character but I had a look the other day and couldn't really find anything, though I didn't look too deeply. Anyone seen anything? AnemoneProjectors (talk) 23:31, 9 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Special[edit]

FYI, there's a backslapping behind the scenes special about Lucas on next week.[1] Bradley0110 (talk) 12:26, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, hopefully it will help to expand this article. (I already added it to the list of EastEnders television spin-offs.) AnemoneProjectors (talk) 13:23, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
But it's on in two weeks, on 26 November. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 13:24, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Source[edit]

As I don't have time to update articles at the moment I'll post a source here so it's not lost: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s2/eastenders/scoop/a187094/reaction-enders-don-gilet-on-murderous-lucas.html I haven't even had time to read it so maybe there's some stuff there that could be used for Owen's article as well. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 13:40, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Here's another http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s2/eastenders/scoop/a187100/eastenders-lucas-on-his-story-twist-and-character.html - the first part has been added by Frickative but nothing from this part of the interview was used. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 23:13, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Extra scenes[edit]

Extra Lucas scenes to air on red button - not sure what to do with this. I suppose the actual content of the scenes could go in a new "other appearances" section like in the E20 characters' pages. But I won't be able to view them because I have Freesat :-( AnemoneProjectors 18:36, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also there's another documentary coming up later this month about Lucas. I'm not sure the first one has been used to add information. Would anyone be able to get a hold of it? AnemoneProjectors 18:38, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've got the first documentary on DVD somewhere - been meaning to get around to watching it for ages, so I'll pull it out and have a flick through. I've got Virgin so I can watch the red button scenes, but I'm sure they'll make their way to YouTube, so no doubt you'll be able to see them too :) Frickative 19:06, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I hope so, a bit unfair really if they don't. AnemoneProjectors 19:36, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
They're all online now on the EastEnders blog. AnemoneProjectors 12:50, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Lucas retunring?[edit]

is lucas retuning as from Digital Spy Densie goes to court so maybe he is returning? I mean they didnt show Kylie's court scene but lets wait and see!! No, he's not returning (or at least nothing in that page implies he is). –AnemoneProjectors– 18:56, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Returning Christmas 2015[edit]

Don Gilet is credited in a cast list in the 2015 Christmas Radio Times (issue dated 19 Jan - 1 Dec) as appearing at some point over the Christmas. I don't have the issue to hand so can't confirm page numbers etc. - can someone add this to the page as my changes were reverted due to lack of source?

Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.30.71.42 (talk) 13:59, 14 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have just checked the BBC website and they only have the EastEnders cast list up to 1st January 2016 and Don Gilet is not mentioned. Please provide a reliable source. Thanks.--5 albert square (talk) 14:15, 14 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) Without a reference saying Gilet is returning as Lucas, we can't add anything. From what I saw on a forum, he was credited with some other name, so we need to wait and see what happens in the episodes before anything is added, unless there is a more reliable source rather than a cast list. This information has not appeared anywhere other than Radio Times, and he is not in any of the credits on the BBC website for the period of 19 Dec to 1 Jan. AnemoneProjectors 14:17, 14 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I have the Christmas RT and checked it before reverting. Don Gilet is listed as "Reggie", not Lucas Johnson, on p 212. Stephenb (Talk) 14:23, 14 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I imagine it is highly, highly unlikely that Gilet will be playing anyone other than Lucas, especially given the onscreen mentions of his character in recent episodes, but I guess we will need to wait for concrete evidence. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.30.71.42 (talk) 11:14, 15 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Was tonight definitely his only appearance? Just this article in the Radio Times gives the impression it may be longer.--5 albert square (talk) 21:15, 1 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know, but I wonder what the whole "Reggie" thing was about... they should just have not listed him at all! It's not even like there were credits tonight to see how he would have been credited on screen. AnemoneProjectors 22:35, 1 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It's weird. The BBC website still lists his last appearance as 2010 but I've found another article indicating that his return isn't over. However he's not mentioned in any of the credits!--5 albert square (talk) 02:06, 2 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
They were obviously keeping him out of the credits to keep it a surprise, and they don't go back and change them online - Jack wasn't in any of the online credits either. I suspect Lucas will appear again, but as he's in prison, it won't be as a regular character! AnemoneProjectors 07:56, 2 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Classification[edit]

Should we change this to "former; regular"? He's not been seen for some time now.--5 albert square (talk) 17:29, 5 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I think so, and just put him as returning if we hear otherwise. anemoneprojectors 17:41, 5 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I think we should also do the same for Jordan. Does anyone know their last episode numbers and when they aired?--5 albert square (talk) 17:45, 5 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I think Lucas was 10 March 2016 (5244) and Jordan was 1 April 2016 (5256) but I'll double check. I've linked to this discussion on Talk:List of EastEnders characters as well. anemoneprojectors 17:48, 5 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Also we should remove that Lucas made a full return. anemoneprojectors 17:51, 5 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@AnemoneProjectors: what is the best way to find out episode numbers? Lucas is missing the one for his first appearance. I think Jordan is too :)--5 albert square (talk) 19:18, 5 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Well! It's really difficult to know the numbers before 2009 - the episode numbers have been changed a few times over the years and were retroactively renumbered in 2009 starting with 3770 on 13 April 2009. User:Kelvin 101 and I have been trying to work out how they did this but we're two episodes over. I did put in some episode numbers when I thought we had it but some of them may be wrong, so for episodes before 2009 it's probably best not to include a number for now. anemoneprojectors 21:09, 5 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
No worries, thanks :)--5 albert square (talk) 22:38, 5 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
