Similarity to tasklist[edit]

This looks quite similar to the Windows tasklist command. --208.138.31.76 (talk) 16:41, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Public discussion online and source code repository[edit]

For a widely-used tool, lsof is somewhat unusual in that its development is relatively guarded. It doesn't seem to use any sort of version control software. The lsof-l mailing list requires sign-up to view the archives, but it has almost no messages other than the release announcements. Per the lsof-l readme, bug reports are not posted publicly but rather emailed directly. II | (t - c) 01:52, 29 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The mailing list is private (see e.g. https://lists.purdue.edu/mailman/private/lsof-l/2018-March/000425.html if you want to sign up) and the official source code is on FTP I believe, but you can see the changelog at an unofficial fork which has arisen.
