Expanded the article[edit]

I took a crack at expanding this article with information taken from a couple of local publications I got in Vegas. All the facts (such as the number of speakers and seats, the credits for the production crew, etc.) are taken from these two articles, but I thought it excessive footnote every last one of them. Let me know if there is something in particular you'd like to have a footnote, and I'll be happy to make the edit. I made a few cosmetic and organizational changes too, but made an effort to include all the previous content (even the stuff that may be "original research"). Thanks, Throbblefoot 20:23, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The dramatis personae section is a nice touch, but I wonder if its needed / relevant. So many characters appear in the show, its hard to single out just some. To include all would be too much. The emphasis of the show is less on the characters who appear but on the music and acts. I'd suggest removing it. --Elfrock 22:48, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The list of characters gives insight into an element of the show's concept that is a bit difficult to put into words. The people I've talked to about the show are both surprised and interested to learn that the characters aren't so much historical as fictive. Perhaps their presentation in a list invites the dreaded problem of listcruft, so I'll see whether I can write some prose around a few good examples from the list. Good rewrite. Works well. --Elfrock 19:27, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks! -Throbblefoot 08:11, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Quebec or Canada isn't relevant to LOVE[edit]

I removed the reference to Quebec in the parenthetical remarks about Cirque (the change wasn't signed - my apologies). While I understand the import of this topic, this isn't the best article to discuss it. In the interest of NPOV I recommend that we leave the topic of the Cirque's correct regional/national appellation evolve to the main Cirque du Soleil article. Thanks, Throbblefoot 03:59, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is this production open-ended?[edit]

I really want to see this show SOMETIME, but I don't know when? It's not scheduled to close anytime, is it?

DVD release[edit]

Does anyone knows when the live show will finish and any idea for a DVD release of it? --JohnEmerald 00:52, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Complete List of Smapled Songs[edit]

Does anyone know all the songs sampled in the soundtrack? I know a few of them, but I know there are bits and pieces of Beatles songs spread throughout the whole thing. Can anyone provide a list of all or most of them, and where they occur in the soundtrack? In case anyone else wants to know this, I'll provide a list of the ones I know, besides the ones stated on the page:

Glass Onion: a "hello" from Hello, Goodbye is present near the beginning. ANyone know where those other effects are from?

Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite: I think the horse sounds near Henry's part are from Good Morning Good Morning.

Between Within You Without You / TNK and Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds are some backwards vocals from Rain, specifically, "When the sun shines, when the sun shines." These vocals can actually be heard backwards at the very end of the concluding fadeout in the original Rain.

Here Comes the Sun: the drums from Within You Without You are present, at least in the beginning.

Others I know of are on the Love page, or the page of the song in question, like with All You Need Is Love. If anyone can add to this list, that would be great, just make sure you're adding something that isn't already here or on the Love page or on the page of the actual song itself. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.90.98.91 (talk) 03:07, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please see WP:NOR. Just64helpin (talk) 03:10, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah. I don't mean actually list them in the article itself, I just mean a list of them somewhere, out of curiosity. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.117.46.64 (talk) 21:00, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

External link / reference suggestion[edit]

As an editor at Crawdaddy!, and to comply with COI guidelines, I am not posting the link to this article about Love. However, I would like to recommend it on its merits, and hope that an editor will find the time to examine the article and—if he or she sees fit—post it to the external links section as a relevant informational source, or potentially use it as a reference for existing/additional information. I appreciate your time. Crawdaddy! [1]

I enjoyed the article, but I don't see precisely why it should be included as a specific external link. Thanks, Throbblefoot (talk) 06:00, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

LOVE vs. Love[edit]

Which is correct? Their own website uses LOVE. But WP uses a redirect from LOVE to Love. Guy M (talk) 08:31, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This has been discussed before. See MOS:TM. just64helpin (talk) 12:11, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

False GA rating[edit]

User User:Yeepsi changed the rating of this article to a GA without a review. It's not even enough good enough to be a GA. Silly person...--andreasegde (talk) 17:43, 22 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oi, first off, it was a typo; second, I have other stuff to worry about on here. --Yeepsi (Talk to me!) 17:48, 22 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, changing a B to GA is a typo. Look at your keyboard for a second...--andreasegde (talk) 21:57, 22 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
My keyboard is slightly different to your's. --Yeepsi (Talk to me!) 14:55, 23 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
OK, let's call it a draw. :)--andreasegde (talk) 16:06, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. :3 --Yeepsi (Talk to me!) 18:13, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Songs in show vs. Songs on soundtrack[edit]

I fell in love with the soundtrack CD well before I saw the show, and I hated the show. Anyone who has seen the show will recall that there is obviously spoken-word audio in the show that does not appear on the CD, but it sure seems to me that there was also MUSIC in the show that remains unissued. I'm talking about actual Beatles tracks. Perhaps I'm hallucinating, since I can find no documentation of every song used in the show, but it sure seems to me I heard music in the show that left me thinking, "THAT'S not on the album!" Does anyone else remember it the way I do, and if so, does anyone know which songs were used in the show that do not appear on the album? Rich (talk) 08:30, 11 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

New logo for Love[edit]

Recently, There has been a new logo for Cirque du Soleil's The Beatles Love. https://images1.laweekly.com/imager/u/original/8860879/love_500_500_v2.jpg Maybe you might have a use for it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Matthew250 (talkcontribs) 21:01, 9 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Box Office[edit]

A valuable addition to the article would be stating how much the show has grossed over its run (even better would be a year-by-year breakout,) and where it ranks all-time among other long running and/or high- grossing Las Vegas residencies.
