Birth registered in Gravesend

Louisa Clare Johnson is the only Johnson whose birth was registered in Britain with a mother's maiden name of Hawkyard - therefore it must be her. Births are registered in the area in which they occurred, which in this case was Gravesend. Jim Michael (talk) 06:15, 3 January 2016 (UTC)

That's what I was trying to say when I removed Essex from the page. She might have always lived in Essex but she must have been born in Gravesend. Anemone Projectors 11:09, 4 January 2016 (UTC)

Registration of the birth in Gravesend which is no distance at all from the county boundary of Essex. Registration centre rarely equals exact place of birth.--Egghead06 (talk) 11:29, 4 January 2016 (UTC)

There are no places in Essex that are within the registration district of Gravesend. The law says "You should [register the birth] at the local register office for the area where the baby was born or at the hospital before the mother leaves. [...] If you can’t register the birth in the area where the baby was born, you can go to another register office and they will send your details to the correct office." So she must have been born in the district of Gravesend, and therefore in Kent. If she was born in Essex, she would have been registered one of the Essex districts, even if her mother went to the register office in Gravesend. Anemone Projectors 11:38, 5 January 2016 (UTC)

Orphaned references in Louisa Johnson

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Louisa Johnson's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
