Disputes on the term "Lost Twenty"[edit]

The "Lost Twenty" refers to the Jedi Masters who have left the Jedi Order due to ideological differences. I personally resent the term "lost", because it would seem that the Jedi Order assumed that anyone who did not agree with them have fallen to the dark side. I wonder if the Jedi even considered if its own philosophies are flawed. When Jedi consider balance, they believed the destruction of evil brought balance. But that is not true balance, for the Jedi have actually helped, however unintentionally, to corrupt the Republic because of its unbending authority. I believe this is also why Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader, since the Jedi Council denied him many things "for his own good". This is what drove him to become a Sith Lord, since Palpatine was willing to offer far more opportunities for him, both good and evil. Being denied too much drives people to seek the denied to the point of madness.

That's nice. Lost Twenty is the canon name for them, so . . . that's what the article is called. Jon Hart 02:41, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
