The notion that James Dean literally became engaged to Liz Sheridan is extremely unlikely. Dean at this point in his short life shunned the notion of marriage, seeing it as an impediment to his career. KitMarlowe2 20:00, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have been looking for corroboration of a quote by Liz Sheridan about her daughter that has been part of this article for a while. This is the passage in question: Sheridan has said, "I'm so unmotherly, I cannot tell you. I'm still a flower child somewhere. My daughter was more my friend than my daughter most of her life."
The citation sourced the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette in an article by Barbara Vancheri from the Sunday, May 10, 1998 issue. I believe it is here: https://archives.post-gazette.com/search/#query=Liz+Sheridan&ymd=1998-05-10 but I don't have access to it. Should the passage be included or not in the article? @PaulThePony: Thanks for the note here; I put back the text that you removed. Just because a reference isn't accessible via Google, it doesn't mean that it's not valid. You could and should have used resource exchange to get a copy of the source], if you couldn't have obtained it via other means. Hi Bloom6132 and others. I understand about removing 'peacefully' if that was taken out because it reads more like an obit than a factual accounting of a life, although it was written about that way in the obituaries. But it's perhaps irrelevant at any rate. About the last lines: the part about the proximity of her death to Estelle's seems like a fact for the Seinfeld page, as this page is about Liz, not the show. It also seems standard, correct me, to have a person page end with information about the person's life. When others died relative to her is not, strictly speaking, about her life at all. Thoughts? I have added a quote from the source for further context, that the two actresses were jointly "the last surviving Seinfeld parent actors". Their deaths are of far more relevance to the subjects than they are to the article on the TV show, but Wikipedia permits content to be duplicated across multiple articles if it is relevant in multiple contexts.
