Merge from Captain (nautical)[edit]

Image copyright problem with Image:Fred Noonan.jpg[edit]

The image Image:Fred Noonan.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

rename[edit]

Okay, so it looks like the decision was to keep, and maybe allow for commanders to be on the list, does the article need a new name? PDBailey (talk) 02:13, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I reckon that the name is ok for now, and we can add in commanders. However we should consider how the list might develop. How it might be divided or restructured in the future. What extra columns would be useful ClemMcGann (talk) 02:26, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It does require renameing as the current title allows for the likes of Fyodor Konyukhov, Charlie Barr & Charles J. Moore Richard Phillips (captain) & Sig Hansen. Please, at the very least, consider List of military sea captains. Exit2DOS ^{• Ctrl • Alt • Del} 00:23, 13 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
