Are timber companies really classified as REITs?[edit]

Yes, at least for this U.S. list. Real estate investment trust#United States says that a company becomes an REIT by filing a legal document, not by anyone's opinion here about timber companies. All 3 timber REITs in this list describe themselves as REITs, so the paperwork must have been filed. Art LaPella (talk) 05:49, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
