The visions of Jesus to Saint Bridget of Sweden were, according to Benedict XVI, approved by Pope John Paul II "The value of St Bridget's Revelations, sometimes the object of criticism Venerable John Paul II explained in his Letter Spes Aedificandi: “The Church, which recognized Bridget's holiness without ever pronouncing on her individual revelations, has accepted the overall authenticity of her interior experience” (n. 5).Pope Benedict XVI, Oct 27, 2010 General Audi'ence
Plese note that the quote "Spes Aedificandi", clearly states the Church has not rendered any decision on her purported visions, which are separate from her interior experiences; just as they beatified Anne Catherine Emmerich for her life, exclusive of her writings.
