pauli133 commented in the talk for the parent article (List of organisms named after famous people) that this was a subject too broad to even try to cover, and though I disagreed with him at the time, I'm starting to fear he might have been right, given the sheer amount of non-natural-scientist patronyms I have found to exist in these past few months. I never imagined there would be this many, it's been quite a learning experience. Still, if this list exists they must be in it, and given that a) this section of the list is quickly approaching the dreaded front page of Special:LongPages, yet again, and b) I still have A LOT of patronyms for pre-20th century people awaiting to be entered, this section of the list needs to be split again. My idea is to split into born before 1800 and born 1800-1899, which is reasonably close to 50/50, though I predict the latter will grow more. El monty (talk) 21:14, 28 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
