Untitled[edit]

There are several which are listed also in List of towns in Indiana.
They are (from most populous to least populous) Merrillville, Schererville, Plainfield, Highland, Munster, Clarksville, Brownsburg, Griffith, Dyer, St. John, Zionsville, Chesterton, Avon, Speedway, Cedar Lake, Yorktown, Mooresville, Lowell, Danville and Santa Claus.
At least the individual articles of these refer these as towns, not cities. Is there a reason to include these 20 in the city-list? 85.76.151.49 (talk) 23:59, 6 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Towns distinct from Cities[edit]

More to that above question, but what is the legal and administrative difference in towns and cities? The article describes the different classes of cities, but there is nothing on the town page describing what they are administratively. Obviously, they are smaller, but what is the population limit, and is their local government set up differently than that of a city's? --Criticalthinker (talk) 08:42, 7 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

2020 populations are incorrect[edit]

For example, Indianapolis has a population of 887,642 as of the 2020 census, the 877,903. Every 2020 figure is incorrect. It appears a "estimate" was used instead? Estimates should not be used in wikipedia when census counts are available. Mattximus (talk) 12:46, 30 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
