why isn't the brown bear (syrian subspecies) mentioned in the list? it used to live in lebanon along with all the other species mentioned, some writers wrote about it, how it used to come to the fields and eat the crops, the reserchers in lebanon belive that it died out in the fifties, but i dont belive that this is the reason for not mentioning it sice many other species died out like the fallow deer (1902) and the leopard.
