Caribbean[edit]

Caribbean would fit where - North America? Guettarda (talk) 19:10, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, but only if the herbarium has a minimum of 200,000 specimens. Herbaria smaller than that are placed on the List of herbaria in North America, where they are grouped with Central America. --EncycloPetey (talk) 22:36, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Type Specimens[edit]

Would a column for number of type specimens be helpful? DaronDierkes (talk) 22:50, 22 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Propose deletion of most of the lead section[edit]

This a list. Most of the content has been better and more appropriately dealt with in the article, Herbarium. (And some of it is factually incorrect - I rather doubt that Robert Brown in 1802 was drying his specimens using newsprint)... I think that almost all of the lead section should be deleted.
