Melinda Clarke[edit]

Was she playing herself on the episode? I thought they gave her a fictitious role. AriGold 12:09, 8 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Terrence said, "this is my wife, Melinda Clarke". – flamurai (t) 15:32, August 8, 2005 (UTC)

Fictional characters[edit]

I see Bai Ling has been removed with the reasoning that she played a fictional character, but then Val Kilmer has been added back in, even though he was barely recognizable as the Sherpa. This is biased. I feel that all notable guest stars (if they are on Wikipedia, they are notable) should be recognized on this list, whether they are playing "themselves" or portraying a fictional character. Perhaps a separate table could be added to this list that would capture the stars like Kilmer and Bai Ling who portray fictional characters? Or perhaps a column could be added to the existing tables that would allow space to make notes on the appearance. The point is, people are going to expect to see Val Kilmer's name on here. That's encyclopedic. And if his name is on here, then Bai Ling's and other notable actors who portray "fictional" characters should be here as well. --Wisekwai 02:00, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Since Val Kilmer played a fictional character he should be removed. This is exactly why this article was at first only limited to celebrities making cameos. I will ad a table though for famous celebrities portraying fictional personas since you're right that it is very biased. Sfufan2005 03:14, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Cool. I didn't mean to imply anyone was personally being biased. But as an institution, Wikipedia can be biased. A separate table is a good solution. -Wisekwai 10:46, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ed Burns vs Edward Burns[edit]

Someone has put the incorrect link for "The Release" episode. There should be a link to EDWARD Burns not ED Burns, the writer for the wire.

Planning a major update to this page and want input[edit]

I am planning to do a complete update to this page including some templification(tm) and I'd like some input. Right now I am thinking the best way to do this would be to remove the "Fictitious" section and just break things down by season and add a column stating who the actor/actress played, whether it was them self or a fictional character. I think displaying the info like that would simply make it much easier to find the information quickly and easily. If anyone disagrees or has other ideas please let me know as I plan to start this sometime this week.  Argash  |  talk  |  contribs  13:24, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I like the idea of merging the fictional characters into the main list, with an added column for comments about the role they played. Should help keep the Val Kilmer fans at bay. -Wisekwai 17:26, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok templification of the first three seasons is completed now we just need to merge the fictional list up into it. Just take a look at the template and you can see how easy it is.  Argash  |  talk  |  contribs  05:54, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think we need to keep more in line with other lists relating to Entourage, such as the List of Episodes... the list should feature more than just basic tabling, and should be visually popping and maybe reference to what their role/significance on the show they played. Eventually, read when I get the time, I'm going to add thumbnails images of each persons appearance on the show. As for descriptions I don't think thats in the scope for this article as the primary focus is on the cameos which don't really need a description. The celebrities with recurring roles will link to their entry on the list of recurring characters anyway so I think that eliminates the need for descriptiveness.  Argash  |  talk  |  contribs  12:12, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Good point, agreed. Sven Erixon 12:28, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

format[edit]

How come the cells (in the "self" tables) are three lines tall? —Tamfang 23:49, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cameo Tables[edit]

These tables consist entirely of cameo appearances, except to list Holly Valance as Leanna... fictional characters should probably either be merged into the cameo tables, or separated entirely. If they are to be separate, the 'Appearing As' column is unnecessary.
And the rows ought to be shortened to a single line. This page is very long for the amount of information that it contains. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.64.248.51 (talk) 16:10, 4 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Condensing the tables[edit]

Since the page is already so long, I suggest using only one row per episode and putting all celebrities for that episode in a single cell, and eliminating the now useless "appearing as" column.--711groove 12:04, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Updates[edit]

Has this page stopped being updated?

Yep. Alessandra Ambrosio, Izabel Goulart, and especially Adam Goldberg should be added (he is now a reoccuring character). Leopold Stotch 08:34, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spicin this page up[edit]

I'd like to throw in my hat to spicing this page up...

Instead of ordering by episode/season, how about alphabetical order? Pics would be good too. --68.202.134.123 17:20, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thats a pretty bad idea, its better as episode/season. Since people who wouldn't known some of the actors/actresses would find it a bit difficult. Tj21 (talk) 21:53, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

CAMEOS/FICTIONAL CHARACERS[edit]

okay to newbie users to this page.

the season 1-season 4 only lists the people who play themselves. the actors who play fictional characters go into the fictional character table. So stop adding repeats of the fictional characters to the s1-s4. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.20.181.60 (talk) 14:56, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
