Damaged Chinook[edit]

A RAF Chinook was damaged in Afghanistan in 2010. Will leave this to another editor to decide whether worthy of inclusion in this list. Mjroots (talk) 20:47, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ukrainian Il-76 shootdown[edit]

Can we make an exception to the "no combat losses" rule under the "singular circumstances" clause for the Ukrainian Air Force Ilyushin Il-76 shoot-down? Mjroots (talk) 18:47, 14 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Split[edit]

Propose split into:

@G8j!qKb: what is your reasoning for this proposal? Mjroots (talk) 17:45, 14 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Mjroots: WP:SIZE, "Short lists in articles are informative. But long ones that require lengthy scrolling may be an impediment. " User:Wooyi/Readability#Long_lists_within_articles G8j!qKb (talk) 20:06, 14 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose - The article is not excessively long. Navigation from the TOC may actually be easier by restricting the TOC to lvl 3 hdrs (i.e months) Mjroots (talk) 20:39, 14 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - A split is unnecessary. The article is not that long. Mark Sublette (talk) 22:09, 14 July 2015 (UTC)Mark SubletteMark Sublette (talk) 22:09, 14 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Removed split notice, with Wikipedia:Microformats perhaps later a split might be required for data analysis/insights...

Microformat[edit]

Updated list to use microformat esp Template:Timeline-event, Wikipedia:WikiProject_Microformats. Not sure if part if microformat month=alphabetic (e.g. January) is accepted versus 01. G8j!qKb (talk) 03:30, 16 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Checked, updated list to use Template:start-date.... G8j!qKb (talk) 04:20, 16 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
