Rockers[edit]

The Rockers' Unnofficial Title change is chronologically out of place, it is listed after the Hart Foundation's first victory in 1987, when it belongs after their second reign in 1990, I do not know how to change this with with out screwing up the chart Vinnyxvincent 11:37, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Edge[edit]

I think in the additional notes where it announces Edge has won it for the 11th time, it should say something about him becoming a record tag team champion.

Make it look better[edit]

I don't really want to do this because it would take a long time, but if anyone really wants to, can you make this page look like the List of WCW World Tag Team Champions page because that one looks a lot cleaner and overall better quality. Virakhvar321 (talk) 22:50, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'll do it eventually. I'm slowly updating each FL at WP:PW that needs updating. Better sourcing, cleaner formating, etc.--WillC 04:20, 1 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If anything, that article should be changed to match this one as this looks better. For one thing, team names (the current consensus at WT:PW is to list team name first and member names in parenthesis). TJ Spyke 23:30, 2 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

top reign[edit]

When you sort it by top reign, it lists Strongbow and White Wolf as the top reign due to the tiny number after the amount of days, making it listed in the thousands.

Jericho-Edge/Show[edit]

WWE.com lists the Jericho/Edge and Jericho/Show reigns as 2 separate reigns.

Once Show was announced as the new partner, the first reign ended and the new one began.

J/E and J/S are counted as 2 separate teams, thus they are 2 separate reigns.

WWE.com lists the J/S reign as starting on 7-26-09.

Since they consider it a new reign, we should as well.

New reign for a team, not a new individual reign. We already list it as a new tag team reign. Jericho's reign never ended, he simply picked a new partner to share the title with. Please continue this at WT:PW since this issue also affects the WWE Tag Team Championship. TJ Spyke 00:00, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lineage[edit]

Surely it not correct to end the lineage of this title with The Colóns? Yes, the titles were unified at WM 25, but the while a title is unified the lineage of both continues, (since both sets of belts were carried around,) until they are split again, or a decision is made to retire one or other, as was the case here, when the Hart Dynasty were awarded the new belts. Incidentally, wwe.com lists the Harts as the final champions. Pigs Might Fly Music (talk) 11:47, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why no stats for first reigns?[edit]

I was wondering this for every title, but didnt want to spam/ask it. Who has the single longest reigning (tag) championship run? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.24.221.54 (talk) 20:41, 22 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Demolition - their first title reign. 478 days by itself.
They eclipsed the Valiant Brothers' previous record of 370 days to become longest reigning champions on 2 April 1989 - the day of Wrestlemania V.
A happy day for Ax and Smash, all in all, as not only did they set a new record for title longevity but they also beat ex-manager Mr. Fuji and archenemies The Powers of Pain 2 on 3 to win their feud. As if that wasn't enough, that same day at WCW's Clash of the Champions VI: Ragin' Cajun, The Road Warriors whom Demolition were often accused of ripping off, lost their WCW World Tag Team title to the Varsity Club. Quite apart from the sheer schadenfreude of this, it also meant that the Demos finally got the #1 ranking in Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Tag Team ratings for the first ever time. 95.144.247.76 (talk) 12:30, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hart Foundation Title Win[edit]

I saw a video on youtube that announced the air date for the Hart Foundation tag team title victory being February 7th, 1987, can this info be used

Rename?[edit]

Should this article, along with World Tag Team Championship (WWE) be renamed to List of WWE World Tag Team Champions and WWE World Tag Team Championship??? The parenthesis is slightly annoying, and while it seems unavoidable with the WHC article, it is definitely avoidable in this case since the current tag titles have never been called by the above name. Ziggler was not Champion[edit]

He is not recognized as a former champ: http://www.wwe.com/superstars/dolphziggler WrestlingLegendAS (talk) 17:14, 14 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

He won the title as part of the Spirit Squad. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 17:15, 14 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

He didn't win it, two other guys won it but they used the Freebird rule. Is the freebird rule always recognized as a title reign fot the guys that didn't win the title? WrestlingLegendAS (talk) 21:58, 19 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. All members were champions. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 17:59, 21 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Spirit Squad[edit]

Why does it say all 5 members were champs? WWE just mentions Kenny and Mikey in their title history and Ziggler's profile doesn't say World Tag Team Champion.WrestlingLegendAS (talk) 15:17, 5 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In 2006, the five-member Spirit Squad defended the World Tag Team Titles as one unit utilizing "Freebird Rule." --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 17:11, 5 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
This doesn't actually mean anything, multiple people have "defended" tag titles without officially being recognized by WWE. See the "Ministry of Darkness" rules reign for this title, or most recently with the NXT Tag Team Championships Killian Dain is not recognized despite defending the belt for Sanity under the Freebird rule or Timothy Thatcher who took over the reign on Pete Dunne's behalf. Neither of these guys were/are officially recognized by the WWE as champions. If the WWE.com title history only mentions Kenny/Mikey and Dolph Ziggler's page has no mention of this title anywhere... I mean. So it kind of seems like you're jumping to conclusions without any official citation for all five being officially recognized. AEWFanboytalk 19:00, 13 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Matt Hardy's 2007 reign[edit]

When Matt and Jeff won the tag team belts in 2007, Matt was a member of the Smackdown brand. Should this be mentioned? 2601:195:100:D283:D1B4:C8D7:3F2:34B3 (talk) 01:16, 26 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
