I would if I could. I remember one episode when it was originally shown - Supercar went at very high-speed along the M1 motorway (which had just opened) in order to meet a deadline. Air Dates Anomaly[edit]

All but one of the days given as ATV broadcast dates for Supercar fall on a weekend, when ABC rather than ATV would have been broadcasting.

Further to the above: browsing through the lamentably rather limited TV Times Archive at https://radiosoundsfamiliar.com/the-tv-times-archive.php leads to an edition of the ATV Midlands TV Times for 21 Feb to 03 Mar 1962. On 01 Mar at 17:25, ATV apparently showed the Supercar episode, "Supercar Take One". This may, of course, have been a repeat, although not flagged as such. Were there an ITV equivalent to the BBC's Genome project, a complete history of the programme could be established. As it is, all that may be concluded is that the dates in this article cannot be correct on now two counts. It may be possible to devise a more likely set of dates with the limited information available but much guesswork would have to be involved. The dates shown are indeed all weekends except for the first series 2 date. As an ATV sponsored programme, this would have been shown in the London area at weekends on ATV London (as were all of the ITC series). Thus all the dates for the first series are for the ATV London broadcasts at 5.40pm on Saturdays. The date of February 2nd for the first episode of season 2 is spurious. This date was a Friday and perusal of the Daily Mirror listings for that day shows no episode of Supercar on any of the regions listed. The first episode of series 2 was shown on ATV London on Sunday February 4th at 5.20pm, and all other series 2 episodes were shown on Sunday at this time in London.Ambak51 (talk) 17:53, 16 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
