Vacated appearances[edit]

NCAA Men's Division I Final Four appearances by school includes vacated appearances with an asterisk. With that in mind i'm going to add Larry Brown, who has 3, one vacated. Are there others with vacated appearances that should be noted?Ryan2845 (talk) 05:27, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Most other NCAA records pages list coaches/teams appearances based off the the official NCAA Records. Most NCAA records now list final records/appearances without vacated appearances included. For this record, the 2015 record book (updates as of the 2014 tourney) list John Calipari as having 3 final four appearances but includes the years of his vacated appearances in the details with an asterisk. They then have a separate section at the bottom for coaches whose only appearance(s) were vacated. I plan on making this change soon. Please comment if you feel differently about this issue. Large Bold on Championship Years[edit]

I find the large bolding on championship years makes the table extremely difficult to read. Rather than start an edit war, I'd like to ask other editors to weigh in and see if we can build consensus toward some other way to present them. Ncjon (talk) 17:38, 13 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, increasing the font size is not a good idea. It's inconsistent with general practice on Wikipedia and does not look academic or neutral. Jweiss11 (talk) 19:12, 14 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

One-time final four coaches[edit]

It seems to me that this is a pretty long list that doesn't need to be here. The championship coaches only list multiple champions. Any objections to doing the same for the final four coaches section? Oren0 (talk) 05:22, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
