Issue with too many templates on one page[edit]

unfortunately, this page has too many templates on one page, and must be split. since there are already redundant episode lists in the individual season articles, I plan to trim those in a bit to fix the problem. you can see the issue since the references aren't showing at the bottom of the page. Split[edit]

@Soaper1234: Before I revert your recent edits please look at this discussion - Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Television#List_of_Holby_City_episodes. A list of episodes such as this requires a list of episodes, possibly with the summaries in a series page. The only way for Holby City to have an episode page is to split it across two pages, three in the next few years, because the size of the templates exceed the maximum. Examples include Simpsons and Casualty. Matt14451 (talk) 19:33, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Matt14451: My apologises. I didn't spot the discussion, which is odd as I thought it was on my watchlist. However, a discussion about this could be done here, but nevertheless, it doesn't matter. I think this would be a good idea, so thanks for using your instincts. Rather than splitting the series down the middle, could we go up to however much the page allows and then move the rest to another page? Soaper1234 - talk 19:45, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Matt14451: I think I've sorted out the two page issue, making it so they are identical (bar the different episode lists). Let me know if you're happy with it too. Soaper1234 - talk 20:16, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Soaper1234: Looks great, thanks. Matt14451 (talk) 20:44, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Years[edit]

@Soaper1234: "Two-digit ending years (1881–82, but never 1881–882 or 1881–2) may be used in any of the following cases: (1) two consecutive years", that's from MOS:DATERANGE. After reading it I did realise we need to use – or –. Matt14451 (talk) 20:05, 8 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Matt14451: My apologises - I clearly didn't read it properly. I'm not sure whether we should still use a four-digit year format though? It just seems, in my opinion, to appear better. I'm not sure if that's just me. Soaper1234 - talk 20:18, 8 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
"matching the established convention of reliable sources" also applies generally to TV programs. --AussieLegend () 20:21, 8 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't include the 3rd point as I thought the 1st was sufficiently relevant. Matt14451 (talk) 20:27, 8 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I think it looks better with the second year being two-digits as it reduces repetition. Regardless of our personal opinions, I think we should stick to the clear MOS unless there's a consensus to change it. Matt14451 (talk) 20:25, 8 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
