The title of the page is "List of Gunsmoke television episodes" rather than simply "List of Gunsmoke episodes" since there is also a page entitled List of Gunsmoke radio episodes. A page called List of Gunsmoke episodes does exist but it has now been turned into a disambiguation page. If some one wants to have a brief plot synopsis for each episode then I suggest doing an individual page for each season to go along with this one.
This page was created since Gunsmoke ran for 20 years on television and is generally regarded as a television classic. The page is patterned after the List of Smallville episodes page, which has achieved featured list status. I'm hoping to make this page a featured list as well.
