This page should not be speedily deleted because... (your reason here) --Gonei72 (talk) 18:58, 13 December 2012 (UTC) I think the show is NOTABLE for its 80s horror-sci-fi era. I have the complete DVD set as sources of actor's names and episodes and I've have seen them all and written important facts about the show and Emmy nominations it got.

Not part of the franchise

Is there some reason that the infobox at the bottom of this page lists the series as part of the Friday the 13th franchise? Neil Cream "rumor"

Not sure the most elegant way to phrase this on the page, but Neil Cream claiming to be Jack the Ripper was not an unsubstantiated rumor; it is historically verifiable he did in fact make such a claim. What is unsubstantiated was that Cream actually was Jack the Ripper; this has never been proven, and the claim is quite likely false as Cream was in prison when the murders attributed to Jack the Ripper occurred. The way it's phrased on this list though makes it sound like Cream making the claim was unsubstantiated (suggesting he may not have actually made such a claim) rather than the veracity of the claim (whether or not his confession was truthful) being what was unsubstantiated. 2001:558:6040:82:7CD6:B941:F0A2:C349 (talk) 20:47, 9 February 2014 (UTC)

REPLY: No, the rumor that Cream claimed to be Jack the Ripper is NOT historically verifiable. The hangman who attributed this quotation ("I am Jack...") to Cream was a notorious practical joker who wanted to take credit for executing Jack the Ripper. Further, it has been speculated that Cream was saying, just before hanging: "I am ejaculating" (from the tension of being about to be put to death), and that this was mistaken for "I am Jack". Citation Needed?

I noted this list was marked for citation needed. The list appears to be material facts from the episodes, which are clearly marked. I don't think citing TV Guides or IMDB is necessary for this. Thelema418 (talk) 05:02, 15 September 2014 (UTC)

Now an editor named Bignole keeps replacing the flag. He says his reason is that citations are needed for the specific dates on which each episode was first aired; however, the episode guide does not list the original airing-dates! Do we really need to source facts which are not mentioned in the article? I thought sources were only required for information which is actually mentioned in the article, maybe I'm wrong. "Colored"

The "notes" section of the description of the episode "Hate on your Dial" should include the info that racist villains use the pejorative term "colored" (and "coloreds") to refer to Black people. It's shocking and would be offensive if it were not so clear that the characters who use the term are bad-guys. HandsomeMrToad (talk) 08:42, 16 June 2016 (UTC)

Scarecrow details not correct

While the titular scarecrow does happen to behead three people in the episode, nothing in the show makes it explicit this is how the curse works. In fact, there is no statement at all regarding exactly how the curse operates, it's implied that you get good harvests from letting it kill people but how often and how many is never stated. In fact, from what is shown it seems like you can send the scarecrow off to kill somebody whenever you like for any reason. 184.98.28.132 (talk) 20:30, 21 February 2024 (UTC)
