Untitled[edit]

I've completely revamped this entry to include as much detailed information as possible. The strip numbering & dating of the series is VERY confusing. I've spent years working out all the kinks by going through my collection (I have a 100% complete run of all the comic strips) and discussing the eccentricities of the numbering/dating system with a few other collectors who have complete runs (or near complete runs) and have been doing their own research for the past few decades. There have been many other lists presented in the past (such as the ones in the "Collected Works" reprint book) that have been incredibly inaccurate, full of mistakes and have barely srcatched the surface of accounting for/explaining all the "glitches" in the numbering. I eventually had to create an extensive Excel database with a separate line for each and every single strip in order to properly match the dates with the strip numbers and properly account for the "extra" strips.

I've also added information on the two U.K. comic strip runs which are often overlooked by collectors (many are completely unaware of them). The TV Tops strips are VERY hard to find and information on them is almost non-existent on the web. I spent years tracking down a full run of teh TV Tops strips and have put together all of the info on this page. Unfortunately, I don't have any accurate artist/writer info for these. The credits were never listed in the magazine. If anyone has this info it would be greatly appreciated if you could add it to the entry.

The list looks great! I like the titles you've given to many of the stories that have no official titles. I've verified the starting and ending dates for all the stories with my own collection and made some minor corrections. I'll try to add some more detailed information around the US reprints when I get a chance. Thanks for the info on the British comic strips. I had heard about the strips in Look-In, but never heard about the ones in TV Tops.

"A Suspected Homosexual?"[edit]

I am removing potentially-offensive text two entries that list "a suspected homosexual". Both are in the original strip Sunday comics. The texts are given below:

  • S42 - "Cadet's First Flight" (10/28/51 to 12/23/51) (Series III, a suspected homosexual, Strips 100 to 108) (G)
  • (6) - S32 - Battle on the Moon:
    • Part 1 - "Moon Song's Misfortune" (Series II, a suspected homosexual, Strips 271 to 285)

This text appears to be vandalism. If it is not, then feel free to restore the text, but please validate the reasons for it to exist in the first place. --98.198.173.247
