When to submit this page to mainspace?[edit]

Simple question. This page has been submitted multiple times and declined multiple times. Bovineboy2008, Rusted AutoParts, BD2412, Starzoner (talk) 19:15, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It should be able to be moved to mainspace at the beginning of the new year. Rusted AutoParts 19:51, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Should be add any films from here? https://www.movieinsider.com/movies/2022[edit]

There is many films not yet added which are American and worth adding, some again too. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dinoman21 (talkcontribs) 04:19, 9 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Are you gonna add any new films to this page as expected?[edit]

It's annoying seeing this page with missing films that have release date like in August and stuff.

Adding in genre column[edit]

Please consider adding in a sortable genre column, as was the case with previous film by year wiki pages. 129.246.254.12 (talk) 20:55, 21 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The month of August seems to be missing completely from this list. In addition, the name of December's Super Mario Bros. movie should be renamed to just "Mario", as that is the confirmed title according to Variety. 75.174.120.66 (talk) 14:18, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Additionally, this looks like the Variety article you're talking about, and it doesn't seem to mention the name. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 14:32, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

With a newly announced December 15, 2021 release date, Rumble can now be removed. It has already been added to 2021’s own page 141.157.254.24 (talk) 18:06, 26 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Misspoke[edit]

I meant since September 30 isn't summer, I replaced the source with one covering its new date. I probably wouldn't have if it stayed within summer, but I'd probably be feeling the urge to for honesty's sake--CreecregofLife (talk) 16:28, 23 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Undated films[edit]

Should there be an undated films section? I mean, there are several undated films slated for 2022.

I think there should be, but perhaps only for ones confirmed to the public directly from the company, and not just rumors from secondary sources, as they aren’t always reliable. SlySabre (talk) 15:13, 3 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Considering where we are, I’m pretty sure that for undated films in 2022 not to be confirmed, they’d have to be rumors about being pulled in from a previous 2023 scheduling--CreecregofLife (talk) 22:49, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Jackass 4.5[edit]

Does it get a listing here? I’m not an expert on the handling of 2.5 and 3.5 (were they DTV?), but I’m thinking copy the Forever listing, switch out Paramount for Netflix and give it its own release date source--CreecregofLife (talk) 04:57, 23 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Cyrano[edit]

I removed the 2021 film Cyrano from this list, but that was reverted. There seems to be some confusion about whether Cyrano is a 2021 film or a 2022 film. It was nominated for several awards as a 2021 film. The Wikipedia article on the film says it is a 2021 film. But this list says it is a 2022 film. Template notes[edit]

I was able to reduce the amount of template use needed to convey the information in the tables. The table code is much cleaner to look at, but it did result in one slight change: the refs are no longer centered in the last column. This is a limitation of the Template:Table alignment. If this bugs anyone who's put a lot of work into the table, no biggie, just revert.

I don't really plan on editing a lot of wikiproject movies articles, but on the odd chance that somebody likes table code as much as I do and perhaps had some gaps in their wiki know-how, here are some notes.

The basic workflow to get rid of all the "align-text:center"s and so on is to simply use a text editor and find/delete them, and then add {table alignment} just before the table and phrases like 'col3left' inside the quotes where you see class="wikitable sortable". (A table can have a lot of classes, see List of countries and dependencies by population density.) But after a big change, I check with a preview to see if anything broke.

Rows which start with an exclamation point (!), or even cells that start with a (!), will be bolded and centered automatically, which saves a lot of code. No need for align=center or three apostrophes. And even if you need to make an individual cell left, right or center, the {left} {right} {center} tags are shorter and easier to distinguish. They go after the single bar (|) if one is there.

I did not add a Template:sticky header to the tables, because the columns on this page more or less explain themselves. But anyone wanting to try out adding them to tables should do so. Simply add {sticky header} (but with double brackets) before each table or at the top of the page, and then add 'sticky-header' (with a dash) inside each table class. For added panache, add a {sort row|5} just after the column names are defined (see the example I linked).

Happy data-ing and happy holidays. :) Wizmut (talk) 17:17, 26 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
