Seems to be a ~$1bn company[edit]

Fair use rationale for Image:Linear-Technology-logo.gif[edit]

Image:Linear-Technology-logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. Founder of Linear Technology[edit]

Linear Technology was founded in September 1981 by four employees that had resigned from National Semiconductor in July of that year. The founders were: Robert (Bob) Swanson, Brian Hollins, Brent Welling, and Robert (Bob) Dobkin. The brilliant analog designers George Erdi and Robert (Bob) Widlar were the first two employees, followed by the most tallented of the group, Carl Nelson. Dobkin and Swanson are still at Linear Technology; Hollins, Welling, Erdi and Nelson retired. Bob Widlar died several years ago. 16blackdog (talk) 23:01, 22 December 2008 (UTC) Blackdog[reply]

Article needs expansion[edit]

This is not a great article. It needs to be expanded. Also, it's not clear what kind of centers are the ones in Munich and Singapore.

Widlar as co-founder[edit]

The article on Bob Widlar states that, along with Swanson and Dobkin, Widlar was a co-founder of Linear Technology but this article does not mention Widlar at all. One of the two article must be incomplete or incorrect.

Dicklyon found this source: History of Semiconductor Engineering by Bo Lojek. The book says "In 1981 Widlar, Robert Swanson, and Robert Dobkin co-founded Linear Technology Corporation." It seems to me this article should include Widlar as a founder as well although (although I find it curious that he would be a co-founder, especially considering his personality and work style).
