Birth location[edit]

Writing Soviet Union as his birth location is simply an insult. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.240.60.203 (talk) 16:13, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He was born in 1985. Lithuania did not join the EU until 2004. In 1985, it was the Lithuanian SSR, therefore, he was born in Kaunas, Lithuanian SSR, Soviet Union.Morstar (talk) 12:36, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

LR, not LSSR[edit]

born in Lithuania, not LSSR, s. User_talk:Bot-iww#born_in_Lithuanian_SSR.2C_Soviet_Union...... --Bot-iww (talk) 10:54, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your subjects were most definitely born within the Lithuanian SSR and that in turn was a federal unit of the Soviet Union. It makes no difference whether you are a Marxist or not and it is not "insulting", it happens to be a fact. What is insulting for one is not the same for everone else and personal sentiment plays no part in the shaping of articles. We honour the facts and it is customary to observe historical accuracy. This is how WP is across the site. Evlekis (talk) 09:44, 15 January 2010 (UTC) Blocked sock:Evlekis.[reply]

Pronunciation[edit]

I added nonstandard pronunciation as shown on nba.com. Any Lithuanian IPA experts who can add the correct pronunciation? Rolando 16:09, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
