Confusion regarding Tiger Lily[edit]

I was confused upon reading this article as to why the name Tiger Lily was never listed, as that is the only name I've ever heard for this flower here in Saskatchewan. I mean, these aren't great sources, but they illustrate my point: [1], [2] both have the usage I am familiar with. This flower isn't even listed at the Tiger lily disambiguation page, and I don't quite understand why. It's obvious to me from reading this that the "actual" tiger lily isn't this flower, just as we have "gophers" that aren't really gophers, but the complete lack of mention struck me as odd and made it harder to be certain I was even at the right article. Is there something obvious I'm missing here, some reason why this isn't considered a tiger lily by the rest of the world? BigNate37(T) 08:57, 18 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
