Cleanup Proposal[edit]

One of the overall areas I intend to improve is source diversity, as the current article relies heavily on a few sources to present its information. I will do this by adding substance to each section in small amounts from the sources I find to help enrich the content. I think this addition fits well into the first pillar of Wikipedia, as by adding more information generally to the article it will enrich its usefulness as an encyclopedia. Another area I would like to add to the article is what effects that the Liberal Rebellions had, what political changes may have occurred or reactions as a result of the rebellions. Also, I plan on adding additional background information to further contextualize the events of the rebellions. The sources for this topic are sparse, but I believe if I really scrutinize them I can improve this article.

Comments on Cleanup Proposal[edit]

Hello! I think you are off to a great start in your plans to expand the article and enrich its current content. The sources that you have listed in your preliminary bibliography are good, but I would continue researching to add even more. The listed sources appear to be good for your proposed section on background, and there are a couple that are more politically oriented, but I would focus on finding more on the political aftermath. Also, while political changes are good, interesting, and important, perhaps see if there are scholars who note other social or economic changes or reactions to the rebellions. Again, you are off to a great start and your plan seems manageable and in line with Wikipedia standards. I look forward to your edits. A blinka (talk) 14:09, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! These are some great suggestions for finding more information on this topic, as the info does seem somewhat sparse. I'm also looking at information on the major figures associated with this event in hopes of gleaning more information. Jgriffith19 (talk) 18:49, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Draft comments[edit]

The page is great! I added a few wikilinks, but overall I think you covered the topic well and fleshed out the story nicely while maintaining a neutral tone. The only other thing that might be useful is to look at the Portuguese page and translate it to see what other authors are saying on the same topic. Thanks, a blinka! I took a look at the translated version of the Portuguese article and found some additional information; however, the sources are also in Portuguese. Jgriffith19 (talk) 14:45, 6 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
