  • Well, in that case, did you find any information stating that it was/is copyrighted? Does any of the pages of that issue or similar issues have "copyright" or its symbol printed?   • Kavyansh.Singh Thank you so much for providing this additional information. I just reviewed the newspaper at Chronicling America and could not find copyright information. I’m addition, Chronicling America’s website states, "The Library of Congress believes that the newspapers in Chronicling America are in the public domain or have no known copyright restrictions. Newspapers published in the United States more than 95 years ago are in the public domain in their entirety. Any newspapers in Chronicling America that were published less than 95 years ago are also believed to be in the public domain, but may contain some copyrighted third party materials." With that said, I feel comfortable using the above template for the image. I will update the image file this evening with the appropriate justification.
