Untitled[edit]

Hopefully, this page will be discovered by St. Louis residents/bands/other interested parties and additions will be made to this. I can't pretend that my efforts are anything more than a mere start. Considering the encouragement towards certain varities of music and the DIY attitude that permeates the place though, it deserved what small surface description I could give. --KarthikKakarala 06:04, 27 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Significant overhauls to the LNAC page[edit]

I've made a major facelift to this page to make it more streamlined & up-to-date.

I've added more information about the venue's structure & its operational philosophy (which I plan to make much more comprehensive in the future), and have expanded its list of the types of music genres it books & what NoiseFeSTL is all about. Most importantly, given the 25-year history of LNAC (as of 8/11/19), I have included a list of notable musicians/bands who have played there over the years, both touring and local. I have also created a subsection for "Orchestrating Diversity" and inputted much more information on the program than had previously existed.

Additions that I plan to make to the page in the near-future:

  • Create a section entitled "Early History," going more in depth about its founding, its overarching operating philosophy for the organization (significantly inspired by Herbert Brün & the School for Designing a Society), the **Lemp Neighborhood Association**, and its earlier programming from 1994-2002.
  • Create a separate subsection for NoiseFeSTL (under "Music Venue") where the current information would fall under, and create a linked page for NoiseFeSTL where I can go more in depth about the festival's history, and its roster of musicians from 2004-2013.
  • Create a separate sub-section for "Notable bands/musicians" (under "Music Venue") where the current information would fall under, and create a separate linked page entitled "List of Bands/Musicians who have played at the Lemp Neighborhood Arts Center." There are many more bands/musicians who've played at LNAC with Wikipedia pages that deserve to be placed on that separate page. **** COMPLETE - Please see: Bands & Musicians who have played at the Lemp Neighborhood Arts Center

All the best, -DrunkenDinosaur
