– I believe this article is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Of the 7 articles actually called "Left Front", this one gets more pageviews than the rest combined, and has done for a long time. With regards to long-term significance, none of the other Left Fronts are nearly as significant as the alliance that governed India's fourth-largest state for so long it became synonymous with the government of the region. YttriumShrew (talk) 00:21, 14 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. Too many to make a primary topic likely. This would have to be overwhelmingly the primary topic, and I really don't think it is. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:59, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Necrothesp: With regards to usage, WP:PRIMARYTOPIC requires it only to be much more used than any other, and more used than all others together.
Here's the pageviews data as of this post:
Name Views (5y)
Left Front (Catalonia) 74
Left Front (Czechoslovakia) 1,610
Left Front (France) 63,745
Left Front (magazine) 2,179
Left Front (Russia) 62,999
Left Front (Sri Lanka) 412
Left Front (Tripura) 45,205
Left Front (West Bengal) 361,155
For what it's worth, I also used the Google unpersonalised search and all but one of the first-page results was about the WB Left Front; the other was the WP disambiguation page. link
With regards to long-term significance:
Left Front (Catalonia) Redirect to Democratic Pact for Catalonia
Left Front (Czechoslovakia) Left-wing intellectual organisation with one reference
Left Front (France) 10-year-long political alliance which held 10ish seats in the French national Parliament
Left Front (magazine) A Marxist magazine which published for two years
Left Front (Russia) A Russian activist organisation
Left Front (Sri Lanka) A minor far-left alliance in Sri Lanka
Left Front (Tripura) An alliance which governed a state of 3.6 million for 35 years
Left Front (West Bengal) An alliance which governed a state of 91 million people for 34 years

To me, the West Bengal Left Front is much more significant than any other Left Front, and deserves WP:PRIMARYTOPIC status. YttriumShrew (talk) 17:54, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. The data above is not particularly informative. It merely proves that a lot of people live in West Bengal. Would it be recognizable to people outside of West Bengal? Walrasiad (talk) 07:56, 18 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    • Precisely. Page views rather reflect population. -- Necrothesp (talk) 08:59, 18 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Walrasiad: I may be wrong, but isn't this the argument that WP:NWFCTM makes clear isn't relevant? YttriumShrew (talk) 20:05, 18 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No. -- Necrothesp (talk) 11:47, 19 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • oppose per the comments above. we have to use our own logic as well. the facts provided, only show the number of population. If we perform the moves as requested, that would give us a lot of confused readers, including 63,745 french people. —usernamekiran • sign the guestbook(talk) 14:09, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
