Unverifiable claim[edit]

I'm removing the following:

In a 2003 essay on Satie, musicologist Larry J. Solomon found in Le Fils des étoiles "radical innovations that surpass anything in Debussy's music" and focused on the opening of the first Prelude: "Here, for the first time in history, is a systematic use of chords made of stacked fourths moving in parallel motion, called planing .... The quartal chords are complex, because the fourths are not all perfect. One of them is augmented. This results in parallel tritones within the stacked quartal harmonies, all unresolved."

Dead link, but moreover, googling Larry J Solomon returned... no musicologists. I don't know whether Solomon's contention is correct, that there are "radical innovations" in this piece "that surpass anything in Debussy's music," but I think we need a more reliable source to include the claim. It's a shame to lose the description of parallel quartals but I hesitate to leave it in unsourced. It lives on here in posterity! Theturbolemming (talk) 00:42, 10 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
