taken out[edit]

I have taken out this part:

" And like in Jasmine, Quebec nationalism is obviously present for Lance et compte in the choice of the fictional name, as it is present in many other Quebec TV shows and artworks."

It seem to me to be more an opinion then a fact. The choice of "National" for the team name could just as well be due to its first letter, similitude in concept to "Nordique" (a geographical term) and a subtil link with Montreal's hockey team's name.

In the same vein, sureté nationale in Jasmine (and Omerta if memory serves) was an obvious choice given that 1- this is the name of one of France`s police force (so precedent), 2- Many real life institution in québec contain the name "national" (assemblé nationale, bibliothèque nationale, etc...) and 3- about the only other alternative name I could think of would have been Sureté provinciale which was actualy a previous name of the SQ and so would have defeated the purpose of using a fictional name.

If of course anyone feel I was wrong, please say so. --Marc pasquin 01:22, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)

filmed in both languages[edit]

The opening paragraph says this series was "dubbed" in English, but I believe that is incorrect. If I remember correctly, it was the first television series to simultaneously be filmed in French and English. Can anyone confirm this? If so, the appropriate changes shoul be made. westmt01, 30 May 2006

I made the appropriate edit.
