The eagle logo in this article seems to be a rotated version of the logo that the Philadelphia Eagles adopted in 1996. Is this truly the logo of the high school? Do they have a licensing agreement with the NFL team? In any case, if someone could provide a url where this image is published with association to the high school, that would be great. ×Meegs 00:57, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Glancing through the school website, it doesn't appear to be associated with the school. I think it should be removed. ~~ Meeples (talk)(email) 00:59, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I have removed it. For future readers, the logo in question is Image:CA9250516678.gif (compare to Image:PhiladelphiaEagles 100.png). ×Meegs 01:38, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I have my high school year book (I am a La Sierra alumnus), and the eagle in question is pretty close (if not the same as) the Philadelphia Eagles logo, and it's all over the stuff from the school and is painted on the side of the gym. Would it help any if I uploaded a picture of that?Roarke Stratton 07:41, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The now-deleted image was exactly Philadelphia's logo rotated to face directly left. Unless the school has an agreement with the team, we should not repeat their infringement on the logo's copyright by using it outside of commentary about the logo itself or the NFL team. Is it widely know at the school that the logos are the same? Does the school use any other logos or seals? ×Meegs 03:47, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure if it's widely known around the school, but that is the main logo that is on the merchandise and stuff. There are a few other Eagles that might work that are around school. What do yu suggest? And thanks for helping out with the input. I'm somewhat new to Wiki, but want to help out and contribute.Roarke Stratton 04:00, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the article need not include any image, but if it does, it needs to be different one. Anyway, I expect that some time in the near future the school is going to get a cease and desist letter from the NFL, particularly since they're using the logo on their own merchandise. ×Meegs 05:24, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
