Pronunciation[edit]

My God, what a horrible suburb name. Anyone game enough to try and record the pronunciation? ~J.K. 03:00, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The pronunciation is Kye-ee-mah J Bar 05:34, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think it would be helpful to add a phonetic version of the pronunciation to the main page. Xenobea (talk) 22:16, 20 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Does anyone know when the the suburb of Kyeemagh was proclaimed or promulgated? The date is most likely in the mis-1930s. Earlier, the area north of Bestic Street was known as North Brighton. This is shown on the maps in the Commonwealth Electoral Rolls. One map shows the streets of North Brighton as it was then: mostly unmade tracks lined with shanties, etc. These street names ceased to exist when the suburb was officially proclaimed and was officially sub-divided with a proper street plan. These streets were paved by the early 1940s. Whipstick (talk) 23:54, 23 June 2012 (UTC)User:whipstick 24 JUNE 2012[reply]
