Moving questions placed anonymously in-line into the article to the talk page:

In recent years (Vague) a dialect (defined in which manner?) which could be called "Modern Konkow" has come (how?) into limited use by some California native Americans with cultural and familial ties to the old Konkow tribe. (Where is the tribe located?) This dialect is primarily based on the dialect as learned by Mary Jones, one of the last speakers of Old Konkow, who learned the dialect that was spoken in the vicinity of Cherokee, California.

Questions about the article might be more appropriately placed in the Talk page than the article. I've restored the article. The questions are valid, mostly. Mike (talk) 18:24, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

English-gloss of Coastal Konkow narratives; historical narratives transcribed from handwritten journals. Significant portions of these accounts describe unique first-hand accounts. These help clarify areas of historical dispute: i.e. I.E. Did General Star order the 'mercy-killing' of women and children on the 'long walk' or did the government anticipate stragglers and allow them the comfort of a food wagon. In other words, memory of the long walk ("memorialized tramma') tends to overlook minute details of the preparation of the event; state sponsored removal as distinct from 'lawless murder'; this material provides historians (i.e. Western Americana Historians at Yale, "Genocide Studies Program" with primary data.)
